With over a decade of experience as a DEI consultant and strategist, Michelle has guided organizations in addressing workplace culture, structure, and equity challenges through the lens of grace.
In early 2025, Michelle's life took an unexpected turn when she lost eight of her nine consulting clients in just four days following a significant policy shift. Initially perceived as a crisis, this abrupt change became a catalyst for profound personal reflection. Michelle confronted the unsustainable nature of her work and the toll it had taken on her well-being. She grappled with questions about identity, purpose, and true freedom, ultimately recognizing the necessity of rest—not just physical sleep, but restorative, spirit-level rest.
This revelation led to the birth of Roho Rest, named after the Swahili word for "spirit."
