Thank you for choosing Roho Rest House for your upcoming solo stay — a place created for you to rest your mind, body, and soul. We’re honored to host you in the heart of San Pedro, Belize, where island charm meets Caribbean calm.

Between now and your arrival, you’ll receive a few emails with everything you need to prepare for your time here — from what’s included in your space to insider tips on the neighborhood.

First a disclaimer: The recommendations, tips, and reflections shared here are based solely on my personal experiences. They are intended for informational purposes only and should not be taken as guarantees, endorsements, or professional advice. About Your Stay

You’ll be staying in a spacious 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment in San Pedro Town — just a 2-minute walk to the beach. Located centrally at the Embassy Apartments, the space includes everything you need:

  • Comforts of home: kitchen, WiFi, washer/dryer, TV, air conditioning, fresh linens, extra pillows, room-darkening shades.
  • Bathroom essentials: hot water, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and fresh towels.
  • Safety features: smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, exterior cameras, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit.
  • Easy access: self check-in with keypad, free parking on gated propery, supermarket next door,  countless restaurants, cafés, and bars within a 10-minute walk.

The beach is a two minute walk away, where you can sip a drink while swimming at the famous Palapa Bar and Grill.

The Neighborhood: San Pedro Town

San Pedro is a lively, welcoming community where life moves at island pace. Here are a few things to know:

  • Getting around: Most people use golf carts to explore town — you’ll hear them buzzing by now and then. Walking is also easy, especially in central San Pedro where you’ll be staying.
  • Local vibe: Expect colorful streets, friendly neighbors, and easy access to shops, churches, cafés, and nightlife. Being near several beachfront hotels, the weekends often bring music and lively energy drifting through the air — adding to the festive island atmosphere. It didn't bother me at all, but some may find it too noisy. 
  • Good to know: Wind-down hours run from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, giving you space to wind down and enjoy restorative nights after full days. This means, no loud music, talking, yes, even singing. :)
  • Peace of mind: The local emergency medical room is just a short 4-minute walk away — reassuring to know it’s close, even if you never need it.

House Rules & Best Practices

To ensure a smooth, restorative stay:

  • Check-in: after 3:00 PM
  • Check-out: before 12:00 PM
  • Self check-in: keypad code provided before arrival
  • During your stay: no pets, no smoking, no parties or events, and no commercial photography
  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Before leaving: gather used towels, dispose of trash, turn off lights/AC, and lock up

Cancellation Policy

  • Full refund: up to 14 days before check-in
  • 50% refund: up to 7 days before check-in
  • No refund: within 48 hours of check-in
